compound objects

My daughter is starting to really enjoy Dr. Suess. And i love reading him to her. Originally I saw a more feathery, Suess-esque style of tree but using the blobmesh made it look more like expanding foam insulation. But i like it. I had to turn it off in the view port to speed things along so i just kind of had to feel it out. I created a terrain for the plateau and then a mesh smooth over it. I would have liked it even smoother but got impatient. The space warp for the road was the most frustrating. At one point i had to just forfeit all of my progress from my last save point because i guess i applied too many of something ??? i had a weird grid on my screen behind my scene that would cut into it when i panned around it. i have no idea what i did. lol. But it finally worked to much rejoice and i'm fairly happy with it. I also used pro boolean to attach the roots to the tree, which was lofted, and i added some volume fog.
